MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The role of the Social Media Campaigns Manager is to drive campaigns in support of HIVSA programs to increase number of users and engagement thereby driving social and behaviour change. As part of the Marketing and Communications Unit, the Social Media Campaigns Manager works closely with the Business Development Lead to elevate the image, social impact and overall visibility of the Choma online magazine and HIVSA’s programmes in their entirety.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications, Social Sciences with a specific focus on public health, social services or a related field
Experience:
– Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in driving social media campaigns in the area of social and behaviour change communication in the field of youth HIV prevention, sexual and reproductive health and or youth empowerment.
– Digital marketing skills across different digital marketing tools eg Canva, MailChimp, Hootsuite etc with proven successful campaigns.
– Experience in social media marketing, fundraising, marketing or communications within an NGO environment.
– Experience in photography and or graphic design would be an added advantage.
Competencies & Skills:
– Demonstrated ability to develop and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including NGO partners and national and local government institutions at all levels.
– Strong leadership and people management skills.
– Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, planning and risk management.
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Working Environment
– Follow a hybrid model of remote and office-based attendance as per company policy. Participate in high level on-site based activities to support program and implementation which include donor or other stakeholder site visits.
– May be required from time to time to travel to events outside of the normal office environment.
– May be required from time to time to participate in events and sessions outside of normal working hours.
