MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To provide safe, reliable transportation services for staff and materials in support of the ACHIEVE programme. Ensure adherence to HIVSA’s fleet policies, maintain vehicle integrity, and facilitate seamless logistics coordination across sub-districts and health facilities.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

· Matric Certificate.

· Valid driver’s license (Code 8/10 essential; PDP advantageous).

Experience

· Minimum 3 years’ professional driving experience, preferably in NGO/health sectors.

· Proven experience in multi-site route planning and fleet compliance.

Competencies & Skills

· Safety-First Mindset: Vigilant defensive driving and risk mitigation.

· Navigation Proficiency: Expertise in GPS tools and City of Johannesburg/sub-district routes.

· Communication: Clear verbal updates; basic written reporting.

· Reliability: Punctuality, flexibility for after-hours/on-call duties.

· Problem-Solving: Quick response to road/traffic challenges.

Working Environment

· Extensive daily travel across sub-districts/health facilities.

· Occasional after-hours work for programme support.

· Adherence to vehicle maintenance protocols.
